สถาบันขงจื่อมหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม ร่วมกับสถาบันขงจื่อมหาวิทยาลัย ขอนแก่น ได้จัดโครงการแข่งขันทักษะความรู้ภาษาจีนระดับอุดมศึกษา ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ครั้งที่ 9 รางวัล`เส้นทางสายไหม`โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานกงสุลจีน ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ จังหวัด ขอนแก่น
ที่อาคารวัฒนธรรมสถาบันขงจื่อ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม ต.ตลาด อ.เมือง จ.มหาสารคาม นางหลิว หงเหมย กงสุลใหญ่สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำจังหวัดขอนแก่น เป็นประธานเปิดการแข่งขันทักษะความรู้ภาษาจีน ระดับอุดมศึกษา ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ครั้งที่ 9 รางวัล`เส้นทางสายไหม` โดยการแข่งขันครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อ`5 ทศวรรษแห่งความรุ่งโรจน์ไทย-จีน ใช่อื่นไกล`โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมความสนใจในการเรียนภาษาจีนของเยาวชนในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทยและประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน รวมถึงกระชับบทบาทของกิจกรรมนี้ในฐานะสะพานเชื่อมการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมในภูมิภาค ผ่านการสื่อสารทางภาษาและการแสดงออกทางวัฒนธรรม
รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.นิตยา วรรณกิตร์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายพัฒนานิสิตและภาพลักษณ์องค์กร กล่าวว่า ปีนี้เป็นปีครบครบ 50 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างจีนและไทย และความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาระหว่างสองประเทศก็แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น การศึกษาภาษาจีนกำลังได้รับความนิยมในประเทศไทย เป็นการมอบทักษะทางภาษาที่สำคัญและโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างประเทศแก่เยาวชน และเป็นการวางรากฐานที่มั่นคงสำหรับการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างจีนและไทย ในการแข่งขันทักษะความรู้ภาษจีนระดับอุดมศึกษา ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นเวทีการแสดงผลงานการเรียนรู้ของนิสิต นักศึกษา และเปิดโอกาสใหม่ๆ ในการเสริมสร้างการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมที่ดีระหว่างสองประเทศ

The Confucius Institute of Maha Sarakham University, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute of Khon Kaen University, organized the 9th Northeastern Higher Education Chinese Language Proficiency Competition, `Silk Road` Award, with support from the Chinese Consulate-General, Northeastern Region, Khon Kaen Province.
Reporters stated that on November 21st, at the Confucius Institute Cultural Building of Maha Sarakham University, Talat Subdistrict, Mueang District, Maha Sarakham Province, Ms. Liu Hongmei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Khon Kaen Province, presided over the opening ceremony of the 9th Northeastern Higher Education Chinese Language Proficiency Competition, "The Silk Road" Award. The competition, themed "Five Decades of Glorious Thailand-China, Not Far Away," aimed to promote interest in learning Chinese among youth in Northeastern Thailand and neighboring countries, and to strengthen the event's role as a bridge for cultural exchange in the region through linguistic communication and cultural expression.
Associate Professor Dr. Nittaya Wannakit, Vice President for Student Development and Corporate Image, stated that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, and educational cooperation between the two countries has deepened. Chinese language education is gaining popularity in Thailand, providing important language skills and international exchange opportunities for young people, laying a solid foundation for fostering closer relations between China and Thailand. The Northeastern University Chinese Language Proficiency Competition provides a platform for students to showcase their learning and opens up new opportunities for fostering cultural exchanges between the two countries
